Have always had the rotary type winch controller ,but the winch never seemed to pull as is should. We recently the the small coiled spring in the switch broke ( long story) so i decided to switch to the handle bar mounted toggle switch. Now in the litterature it says the toggle switch upgrade kit will upgrade the winch to a 2.5???? Im assuming that because the juice is routed differently with the toggle switch, as opposed to the rotary type, that the toggle set up is able to supply higher amps to the winch, resulting it greater winching ability? Is this true?? Old set up almost seems to struggle to winch the quad out of a mud hole. Will the updated switch help???
