I have about 200 miles on my 26" lites, and I just had my first flat, or low tire really. I still dont know why it went low, but I aired it up and it has held for about a week now. If it leaks down again, I will slime them all. I run 5 pounds all the time. 7 pounds just feels too rough.
I LOVE these tires, I just did a deep mudd, logging trail ride with a friend, he got stuck many times where I just pulled on through. The offset wheels helped with biting the sides of ruts and not getting stuck down in them.

Im in central Arkansas, in Jacksonville.

My 26's rubbed just barely on my oxlite CV guards, but I trimmed the guards down and no problems now, 27's would tear mine up. I probably couldnt slide these even with 7 pounds, unless on gravel. The 26's tread is way deeper than the 25's.

You wont be powersliding much anymore, be careful the mudlites will just grab you if you arent in wet or snowy conditions.

I ran 4-5 psi

Hi. I wanted to get a 6 ply tire when my stockers ( with many plugs wore out ) I chose mudlites due to their nice tread , light weight and the low price for a 6ply. I have had mine for a year and a half and despite some nasty riding have NOT had to place a singel plug in any of them. I am very happy with the durability of my mudlites. I will go with 6ply tiers from now on just for the extra flat protection they offer.

Never had a flat with the mud-lites.

I just bought 26" ITP Mudlites for my Vinson. Can anyone tell me anything about them? I've had 6 flats on my stock tires over the past 6 months and this last flat put me over the edge. I went straight from the trail to the shop and got some. I've seen these in action in snow and mud and they seem to go well but what about FLATS? Has anyone ever had a flat on these or known anyone that has?

Thanks for the info guys. I went through some nasty snow the other day and all I can say it that these tires pull like crazy. If these things hold up like you guys say I do know why I waited so long. These things rule. Only thing I'm questioning now is being able to power slide around corners like before?

Posted by: Outrage

Yeah I kind of guessed that because they don't even slide much in the snow.

I haven't even checked yet but how much air are you supose to put in the 26inchers?

Posted by: Outrage

Wow...4 to 7 psi is a big difference. What does the tire say to put in it...forgive me for being to lazy to go out in the garage to look for myself.

Off subject... Wasn't that our PIC and article I saw in the ATV Rider? I feel the same way about the age of riders on larger machines. Age only plays a small part, I feel the larger part of the equasion is the size of the child. I've seen some big 14 year old boys and other the side I've seen some very small adults.

So how do you like the riding there in TN? I use to live in KY and thought the riding was pretty good until I moved to Alaska. If you ever have the opportunity to visit I would suggest doing some riding.

Small world, I use to live in Jacksonville just outside of Little Rock.

As for the Mud Lite I've noticed that they grab like a mother. Maybe I should have went with the 25s too? I guess I'll have to wait and see this summer after the snow melts.

I haven't had any ~real~ problems sliding the a$$ out. I run 7#'s of air normally.

When riding sand/mud/---praying for snow this year!!!!!----I run 4#'s. On hardpack or sharp rocks I run 7 to help combat flats.

7 is max.

The one and only! Glad you saw and recognized me/my writing. Thanks for your support! The riding is pretty good here. Everywhere you turn, there's a trail. Most land owners are cool if you ask first. I like riding in KY too. We go to Turkey Bay a lot. That's one of the places I run my tires @ 7 (rocks!). We (ATVRider) just finished the Reader Ride on the H/M in WV. Already planning next year's ride. If I ever get to Alaska, I would plan on riding! Care to be a guide? Hey, maybe I could get Billy to "expense" it, and do a feature..........

Ride On!

I run 25's because we ride "balls out" 90% of the time. The travel is still not enough (read: winch), as my fronts rub on mod. to hard impacts. 26's, in my case, would tear stuff up. The reason I run 6-7# most of the time is due to the fact that it's easier to slide the rear around corners w/ higher pressure-no tire roll. I need any advantage as we play-race the sport guys (and as mentioned before-SHARP ROCKS!). I carry a compressor in my rear box and air down if we're muddin' or riding sand, then air 'em back up once we hit the hard pack again.

Hey, XLT-what part of ARK do you reside in. I'm in nw Tn., right on the river.

Yeah, it's quite a bit deeper. Like I said, I got the 25's w/ speed in mind, as I don't do a ton of mudding, but still encounter it enough that I needed a tire to get through the stuff. I see where Jax is just NE of Little Rock. Nice area down there.
