Try and relax your grip and move your hand around. Once I taped a piece of popcicle stick on and it worked pretty well.

Dont use the end of your thumb all the time. I kinda wrap the end of my thumb around the pivot point of the throttle lever,
and push with the palm meat of my thumb. Its sort of like working a twist grip, an extension may be a help on the Grizz.

I think Cabelas has the "Thumb Assist Pro".

Bought one for my wife, and I even steal it and put it on my quad. That works great for us, completely goes away and can ride forever with no problems. Love it.

Good Luck

We went with the Cabela's thumb extension thingie and it works great on both our quads. I pretty much use the palm of my hand now, instead of the thumb. My only complaint now is, if I hit some unexpected big bump, my hand will fly off the bar more easily (not caught by the thumb) and I almost fall over the bars. Guess I should slow down -

Ride more often.... gotta build up those muscles.

You could also look into a thumb saver they extend the thumb lever so you use more the base of your palm, or a twist throttle.

you dont want a twist on a grizz.. However the Modquad Billet Thumb throttle is allot longer and Makes pushing the throttle a breeze. I have one on my rap and buddies have em on warriors and Z400 and thumb fatigue is a thing of the past. although the aluminum lever does get cold and give ya a cold thumb.

Im pretty sure cabelas is everyones favorite store and all yamaha's use a banshee modquad lever im pretty sure. ? its just a lever. but the extension prolly works just the same and its cheaper. it just aint got the Shiney stuff to it

I read a post where somebody used a used shotgun shell and just slipped it over the throttle.

NMGrizz, my wife had the same problem. I tried suggesting all kinds of different ways to press the throttle, but she always gets a sore thumb. We went to Cabelas and got the adjustable one. We will be trying it this weekend. I don't know about your quad, but we needed the adjustable extension because the non-adjustable extension would have stuck 90 degrees from the handle bar, making it difficult for her to use it. The adjustable one is basically aluminum covered with plastic that can be easily bent. It seems to work quite well. Hope this helps you.

what about a twist throttle for a Grizz? I thought about going that route

Does anyone ever experience your thumb getting fatigued, or falling asleep from pressing the throttle after a while of riding? Any tips/advice? Thanks

Thanks guys, I couldn't get one to come up on the modquad site, but I found a thumb assist lever from cabelas (my favorite store) for 20 bucks for the base one, and 25 for the adjustable one. That's the route I'll probably go.
