Twins are smoother, quieter, dont require a counter balancer, are capable of higher rpms, and more.

A single is simpler and requires less maintenance and parts are much cheaper.

You guy's haven't ridden a King Quad yet, have you ?

I get a kick out of all the talk about vibes. Yes the V-twins are smoother than a single, parallel twins are not as smooth as V's, and the King Quad's are the smoothest single I've ever ridden

Yes i have rode the King Quad and it vibration is worse then any of the big V's

My KQ single is way smoother than my 700 twin. Or any other twin I have set on.

that and the twins are usually more cold blooded than a single from my exp. (prarie and sp700/600 vs kodiak and sp500)

as for vibe, thats the least of my worries, but the polaris twins are worse than my kodiak, and my scramblers worse than the sportsmans.

as for power, the single should have more lowend but less top, but i could be wrong
