Someone has to say it, so I may as well. ATV's are made for one person. With 2 people on it it may tend to go over backwards on hills and bumps. Be carefull and be sure you both wear a helmet. With that said, yes, the Kodiak should do just fine with 2 people.

Power wise you should be fine. I have a foreman 450 and it can haul two people without any real problems. Other then the difference in handeling the wheeler should not act that much different with the extra rider....A larger cc wheeler would haul the two of you with less effort but the 450 should handel it without too much trouble.

You can crank up the spring preload, on the back shock, and that should help the handling. If youre just trail riding it shouldnt be a big deal, theres more than enough hp .

You can double up without any problems, i do it all the time on my kodiak. You just have to drive with common sense and dont act stupid or someone may end up getting hurt.
