Have you ever heard of Ice racing? I would have thought you have since you are such a pred buff and Rath is an avid pro ice racer.

Ignorance is always plentiful on these fourms.

He was "quoting" people who determine the quality of their utility atv by its top speed. He was not specifying those exact numbers to the quads, just using it as an example.

That is definately not stock. Raptors dont hit that kind of speed without high gearing and some modifications.

The fastest my Grizzly has gone, bone stock, is 94 mph. Ok, it was in the back of my truck but you didn't specify. Really, the fastest it has gone is 69 with the wind at my back.

I wouldn't put any money on either the Banshee or the 250R pushing any snow (withought chains). They're too light and their wheels would just spin as soon as you put the blade down.

Posted by: Starky

No, but put chains on it and see how much fun you have. I put them on my Raptor and I swear i had a 50 foot roostertail behind me.

Fastest stock utility ATV?

Depends on what you mean by fastest. If you're talking about fastest top speed, then nobody really cares. If you're talking fastest in 300 ft drags, then the Brute Force is fastest by just a hair. If you're talking fastest on a closed course race through the woods, then the Prairie 700 is fastest by quite a ways.

How fast is a 2005 Rincon?

About as fast as a 1998 Yamaha Big Bear with one flat tire.

Posted by: zorro700

I'm also curious as to what ATV will plow more snow, a banshee or a 250R?

Posted by: zorro700

No, I wasn't serious. I'm just making a point that if 90% of the discussions on here about UTILITY (I can't stress enough) ATV's is how fast they are top speed, then it is really no different than take a poll on how much utility work a racer can do. You know what I'm talking about "Well my praire is a better UTILITY quad than the polaris because it does 73mph and the polaris does 72mph." Just seems ignorant thats all.

Posted by: zorro700

Thank you maddog56 that is correct. I agree with you starky, I think you'd be better off spinning the snow out of the driveway than pushing it. These people that rate their UTILITIES higher because they top out at 1 or 2 mph faster just really don't realize how ignorant they sound. It sure is noticed immediately when a person asks the wrong questions about the catagory a racer should be tested on. Just a thought.

Where can you go to look up stock horsepower and top speed numbers?

Zorro700

Nicely said!

However, the Banshee is going to handle that snow plow way better. I mean come on two cylinders, weighs a little more and my Dad's 2nd Cousin from the Jibwauku has a friend who's ex-wife&39;s brother lives in Backwater Florida. That feller says the Banshee works great in the snow, keeps his drive way spotless all year.

So you are saying my banshee wouldnt be a good machine to plow snow with this winter? D@MNIT!
