Have a 450ES and just killed another battery. Mine is a 99 with the upgrade for the head, checked leakage current and is in spec. Charging is good and in spec. All conections checked as well.

I have been replacing the batteries with stock. Are these any good or do I have options ?

Thanks

Use it quite a bit. Last time I had used the unit 3 days earlier, no issues. Go to start it and stone dead. Put on charger and battery was fully charged in 40 min. Battery has no current capacity left, volts look perfect.

I will get a minder for the next battey though.

Try a different brand of battery this next time. Theres a history of yusau batteries haveing a short life. Does it sit loose in the box? If it flops around while driving , thatll kill it.

Do you use a battery tender? I just put a new battery in mine before the warranty went out, and bought a tender at the same time. I think unless you use your wheeler regularly, it's cheaper to spend $30 on a tender than $50 every year for a battery.

You might still have a bad connection or broken wire somewhere that only doesn't work when the atv is being rode. I had that problem with a 160 and when you tested it sitting there it would be fine but ifyou went for a ride sometimes it wouldn't charge.
