I'm really wanting to see what Yamaha plans to do with their now-small 660 Grizzly. Bombardier is coming out with a bigger machine leaving only Honda to have a smaller quad. Even though I'm primarily a Red Rider and love Hondas, I face facts when it comes to the big-bore utility segment. The Rincon probably won't be updated for quite a while and even when it does, it probably will not be near as competitive as the Brute, King, Sportsman, Prairie, Grizz, etc.

I would say that depends on how fast you want to ride and how rough, but it sounds like you already made up your mind.

for slower, rougher terrain the grizz will fair better due to the IRS

I am a die hard Yamaha fan. However I stopped and test drove the new Kawasaki big boy and was impressed. The Kawasaki 700 is one fine piece of equipment. I know the griz may look better but in my opinion the Kawasaki will be a better choice in that class.
