You will not want a spool in the front it will not let you steer very well. The most you will want if you can not get a slectable locker for the front is the detroit locker type that locks when slip occurs. Hoever it will alwasy lock when slip occurs not like the electric ones that are original equipment now.

Does it affect the steering while in 2x4 mode? Also what about a spool?
