It wont hurt anything. Just use it proportionlly. Or, use the proper octane gas and you wont need octane boost

Octane boost is useless unless you only need .5 octane points over premium. It's completely useless in any stock atv.

Most bikes recommend 87 octane stock. Some like the banshee and yfz recommend 91. If you are running stock compression then you shouldnt have a problem with detonation. If you are, then its just a matter of uprgrading the fuel. Switch from regular to midgrade, midgrade to premium. Premium pump gas goes as high as 94 in my area, so getting 91 shouldnt be a problem. You will spend more time and money using octane boost the switching to the next better range of pump gas.

Complete waste of money if you are driving a stock bike. If it's modified you needed to have raised the compression or its still a complete waste of money. Take it back.

Actually it won't help it from freezing up, that's what gasline antifreeze is for. You might think you can tell the difference but I really don't think so. Higher octane does not give you more power, it only takes power away. Higher octane, resists detonation more, and hence burns cooler. Burning cooler robs power. It sure won't hurt anything but it really doesn't help.

I wouldn't say that it is completely useless in a stock bike. Some bikes will detonate a little with a stock compression ratio and in a case where that happens a little octane boost will keep it from coming apart. If the engine doesn't "ping" and isn't running a high compression piston you won't gain anything in the horsepower department.

i got this thing at wal-mart called octane boost. it's just a liquid you add to your gas thats supposed to give back lost hp and increase efficiency. do you think its a good idea to put this in a bike? I can't see why it would hurt it.

i used to buy that stuff for my snowmobiles cause they will demand a lil higher octane and when it is really cold outside it may decrease your chances of it freezing up but i used to run 92 octane in my ZRT600 and put some of that octane boost in it and i could really tell the difference but in a 4 stroke atv you won't be able to tell the difference
