I believe that the 2500 and 3000 models are the older style and the 2.5 and 3.0 are the new style. Go to www.warn.com to check out information.

I too am in the market for a Warn winch and have a question about their models. What is the difference between a 2500 & a 2.5.... Or a 3000 and a 3.0? Are they the same? Thanks, Dan
