650's are done, its a 700 prairie now. The foreman is an excellent utility machine, probably the best on the market. There is no longer a 400cc model availible, only a 450. It really depends on what you are going to use these machines for. For work, get the foreman. For smooth trail riding, get the rincon. For the most power and a sporty feel, get a prarie700. The big bore praries have been fairly reliable. there were some 02 problems that have since been resolved in the 03 and 04 machines. Even the belt wear issues have been fixed. The rincon is a good machine, but lacks good low end pulling power and effective engine braking. Suspension is smooth and soft with some body roll. A friend of mine purchased one and loves it, be he does complain of feeling underpowered. Mostly due to the transmisison. The foreman is a bulletproof machine with gobs of low end torque and pulling power. Great utility, but not the most agile on the trails. Also is at a severe disadvantage to the other 2 machines because of displacement. It looses 200 to the rincon, and 250 to the prarie. Like I said, it really depends on what you plan to do with it. Another good idea is to get on these machines and go for a ride. I know that I changed my mind many times because I didnt like how a machine felt when I rode it.

I had a 2001 450 foreman, now I have a polaris 700-arctic cat 400.The honda 450 was good at everything the only reason i don't have it anymore is because the bumpy ride.I have a bad back otherwise I would have kept It.I think It will go more places than my 700 just not as fast,I miss the engine breaking on the foreman because polaris's ebs sucks.the honda will out work the kaw and is a better machine.

Have you seen the new suzuki 700 with irs suspention that will be nice for going in deep snow and pulling kawasawki 700 out of the snow with there low ground clearance.Kawasaki needs to have a 700 with irs so you can have speed and a nice ride. The rear axle an the kaw looks small like it could bend easy It reminds me of my old wolverines axle that i bent going over a jump. The honda foreman axle is big and beefy for work.

I have a P360 and am thinking about trading on a Honda Foreman? Will I see a definite upgrade?
Am also thinking about going to a Honda Rincon or P-700.
Am a little leery of Kawasaki's because my P360 has not been that reliable.

I have a 2004 Honda Foreman 450 ES. It is a lot of fun, and very dependable. I don't think you can go wrong with the Honda. Not to put down any of the oters out there, but Honda is known for their reliablility

I would take the Foreman over a Prairie 650 not to mention a 360. Just my opinion.

well i was debating between the 2. i got the honda for a few reasions.
1. more after maket upgrades
2. bad luck with kawaies
3. the foremen's are as stuff as it gets
4. its a honda duh....
lol there both nice atvs but i like the honda. p360 has a diff lock but u can get a 424 kit and diff locker for the formen. if u like automatic get the p360. if u like to shift and pick your gears go with the honda, i did.

I think a Winch is going to be a nessesity. Just in case.
Foreman Vs Kodiak.
I tried out a older foreman Saturday, and liked it. Have to look around for a Kodiak to give a spin.

Thats surprising. I figured more ground clearance, more power, it would surpasss the Honda in Tougher conditions.

I had an '02 Foreman ES. I just sold it and bought an Arctic Cat 650.. The Honda is a great quad, extremely reliable, with lots of low end power. I put 26" Bearclaws on it and it would climb just about anything. I winched and pulled many other quads that couldn't make it up or through where I went.
The only things I didn't like about it were the rough ride and top speed was only 45 mph.

If you're looking at an older foreman (pre-'02) plan on putting a Warn 424 on it so you can ride in 2WD. Rides and steers much better than full time 4WD. Powerslides alot better too
Good luck with whatever you get!
