O.K. guys need some opinions.
I will be getting my oxlite bumper this week, I will add aftermarket lights on it,,
I want something that is super bright, not a fog light but a driving light(long range pattern for night riding).
I'm looking for a round light around 4-6 inch round, black finish, waterproof, and between 55 and 85 watts
It will be a pair and I do not want to go any higher for fear of killing my battery.
Oh yeah I want to keep the price down,, because you know what can happen on the trails,, anything can happen
and I do not want to buy high dollar lights and have them break the first few times out...
KC , PIAA, have some good lights

Thanks for all the advise guys,,,
I will look at the norther tool add,,,10.00 for two lights, that is my biggest worry, trashing a set of 100.00...
and then replacing them....

Good point ,,, thanks for the info...

Sounds good,, AS soon as I get the wrinkle paint for the bumper and mount it,, the lights are next..

I don't think I can go with a pair of 100 watt lights, that may drain battery too much...

Camo man,
I went through a number of budget lights(plastic broken, bulbs burned out regularly due to H2o getting in and cheap sockets) I now have a set of Hella 6" 100watt lights and they rock!! The reflectors and housings are what you pay for. The cheap lights use the same H-3 bulb but are way less bright. The Hella's let me see at least 2x as far as before at night.

I have heard good things about the Moose Utility lights. Just check their website for details.

The lites I put on the front came from Auto zone and cost $15. The same as the lights I put in the back except they came from wally mart. 55 watt ea and much brighter than OEM.

I use a 70,000 power spotlight for my extra lighting needs, it can also be used behind me. Cost 80 bucks,Cabelas, wiring was simple, just plug it in and flick the switch.AlaskaBoy.

Also Don't forget JC Whitney.com truck or jeep catalog. I have some old Ciebie driving lights. The price was right and came with 100 watt. Halogens. I dont know if they are still in business or not. Check out your local 4 wheel drive shop.

I just spyed something in thr J.C. whitney catalog. Vibration resistant H-4 replacement bulbs. I don't know, maybe off road lights need to have stronger fiaments than on road lights. This might be one reason why lights are listed on or off road. I can tell you this, most, if not all of the $9.99 lights are nothing more than plastic light housings with a DOME or turn signal light bulb inside. Hardly any light. I know cause, I was burned on them. I agree, I don't want to pay $60 or more for aux. light. But at $9.99----Well my father always said "you get what you pay for"!

Hey Camo-man....
I just dropped the bomb (monitarily speaking) on a set of Piaa 510's for the new SP700. They have the H3 Super White bulb (35w=60w) and come with the wiring harness, relay and switch. They also come with some REALLY trick rock guard styled covers. I have already wired the bike, so I'm just waiting on the lights.
Spendy? Yes, but with my past experience with Piaa lighting, if these are as good as my others, they'll be worth every penny.
I'll report back after the install and possibly have some pics as well.....
