MSRP is $5999. As it is new, there will not be much discounts yet, unless you find a dealer
who is having a slow month. Wait till the last week of the month to buy. If the sales manager
hasn't met his quota, he will be more likely to cut you a deal.

Figuring a 7% sales tax, and $400 for each accessory, OTD price will be $7274 at MSRP plus title fees.
The dealer you spoke to was right on the money.

I never buy at MSRP. IF they don't cut me some slack on price, I keep looking till I find a dealer who will.

All dealerships have a bare minimum they must sell every month to meet their expenses. The bigger they are
the more their costs of doing business. Winter months are low volume months. The key is cash flow.
They all have loans to pay on, for they get the bikes and quads on a very low interest loans from the manufacturers.
Catch them in a month (Jan Feb and Mar are good months, as is Nov.) where they aren't meeting these minimums,
and they will cut a heck of a deal, just to get the cash flow.

You can figure roughly $400 per accessory (winch, plow) but that does sound high.
I paid $6750 for my '04 Prairie 700 without accessorys.

I'd get more quotes.

Good luck and enjoy your new toy.
Oh and take the rider safety course!

Cheers

Woodsrunner, Thanks for the tip!!! Learn something every day!!! Do you know if most dealerships have quota's that they have to meet?

Thats pretty high i would say $7000 for all that but i guess since there is sales tax what can ya do. Yes and no on the quotas. Where i reside the managers set goals each month of how much they want to sell but its not mandatory to meet them.

That sounds very high to me. I bought my 700 prairie for $6500.00 out the door at Highlands Kawasaki & Tractor (Tx) and my friend just bought his new AT rancher for $5999.00 out the door from East Side Honda in Baytown, Texas. They must be quoting you MSRP and not comming off that. I would try other dealers. Good luck

I bought a 2004 6 months ago for 5300 OTD but I didn't have to pay tax. I'd look some more.

Sounds high to me. I paid little less then 6000 out the door with no accessories. I think I paid too much.

Spoke with the local dealer today. Looking for my 1st ATV. We agreed verbally on $7300 out the door for a Rancher AT with a Warn 2.0 winch and a Moose plow. Is this good or could I do better?

So, I should be looking for a deal in the high 6's?

Just got back from the dealership. Done and done. $6947 for the AT with winch and plow and all the other BS. Being delivered on Friday, can't f***ing wait. Thanks for all your input. Now, I'll be posting all the time with rookie questions. Don't beat me up too bad.
