You can fit 27x9 front and 27x12 rear on stock rims and suspension with zero clearance issues. I have these in blackwater XT's on my 450 and they are great.

They are charging 109 bucks per snorkel though...you can make one for $20 or less.

Not exactly sure on the tires. Check out www.highlifter.com for mud riding stuff. Can get lots of help on the forum too.

where do you buy a snorkel? and how much do they cost?
what is the biggest tire you can put on a foreman without a lift.(with out rubbing).

are there any other cheap mods that improve performance?
