In Tennessee there is a one time registration fee of $8. This gets you a TDS sticker which is necessary to have to ride on any public lands. The TDS also has a reciepical agreement with some other states. I know that Wisconsin does not require any other fees if you have a Tennessee TDS. A pretty good deal at that.
Things have just recently changed though - The most ATV used wildlife resource area, Royal Blue went to a fee system about two years ago. Now you need to buy a license to ride Royal Blue - cost is $32 per year for in state. I suspect that the trend will be to require other state WMA's to limit riders to those with a license, hopefully they will use the same license for all state-wide riding. Under 13 riders are still free.
I'm more than happy to pay $32 per year to guarantee these areas will be kept open to ATV's.

$30.00 per quad for three year term

Then after paying your $30.00 per quad you accessed a yearly personal property tax going by the value of the quad.

$16.25 for 2003. But who knows next year. These damn Democrates will do anything they can to screw us over.

$20.00 a year if you plan to drive off of your own land and then you also have to obtain atv insurance. $0.00 if you ride only on your own land.
It's just another tax to me.

I guess the only way to get back at the politicians is to find a way to tax their golfing supplies, drugs or prostitutes. Hit them where it hurts.

Just curious to see what you are all paying for registration fees......Here in Maine they went from $12.00 a yr to $33.00 for 2003'-and we still dont have anymore trails opened for us to ride in!!!!!
