Or just buy the disc brake conversion kit and never worry about front brakes again. If you haven't already bought wheel bearings, buy a set of sealed ones from Hilifter.com. You will reduce the number of wheel bearings that you will go through as undoubtedly you probably got sand in them too.

because it is NOT a perfectly working brake system after about 100hrs of mud riding. I have been riding with and on Honda's for 12 years and have yet to see a set of front brakes still working after 2 seasons. They work good when they are new but are useless after awhile. That is why they have designed a disc brake conversion kit for them.

go to a major atv dealership and ask them for you..they have a parts book with every minute part from a tire to a screw in there parts book. Im sure they can help you if you tell them what you need.

if any body out there has a rancher can you please tell me where i can get the replacement red plugs for the front rims brake adjustment holes. i lost one and water and sand got in there and wore out the month old brakes. i cant find them anywhere. is there somewhere that sells them? please help cant stop good.

Definitely a dealer part. Find a place convenient for you and mail order / order at the counter. They can't be expensive.
FYI, all reviews I've seen on the drum brakes on the Rancher and Foreman were excellent. The mags don't care, they said they wouldn't have known that they were even drum brakes unless they were told. So why convert and drop all that cash to replace a perfectly working brake system?
