By loose do you mean play in the steering, or is the steering column loose? (the shaf moves side to side??)

I had my kodiak for about three weeks when I noticed that the handle bars were loose at the bottom plate and shaft. (the shaft is splined as well as the plate with the tie rod connections. My steering shaft does'nt move side to side. but I have seen a Kodiak where the handle bars could be pulled up with about .300 thou. of play. But this guy beat the total hell out of his kodiak.

I dont know why your bars are acting funny cause mine havent done anything weird yet. the only thing I have done to them is change them for my riding stance. A little bit higher thats all. I dont know maybe i am just lucky

Hey Teddy,
How long did ya have the Kodiak, before you developed the loose handle bar issue? Just got mine last winter. Haven't had a problem yet. But haven't done any serious riding yet either. Just trail riding mostly.
