It is hard on a winch to use it for lifting a plow I have been told. I used one but I am not sure what ruinned mine the plowing or the snow drift.

I am getting a Vinson this weekend. I am putting a moose 60" county plow on it.

Do any of you guys have experience with the electric lift?

I am trying to decide if it is worth saving $125 for the electric lift or paying the extra for the winch.

I need to have an idea tonight so that my dealer can get the plowed ordered tomorrow.

Thanks

I went with the winch. Just because it can be used for more than just the plow. I have heard that winches don't work real well in cold weather. They can lift a plow, but they can't pull the machine out of a snow drift. Don't know how much truth there is to that though.

I would go with the winch. You will spend a little more $$$ up front, but you will be able to use it all year. You can use the winch for a variety of purposes. What else can you use the lift for?
