i think the stock tires will be the easiest to steer as opposed to an after market heavier and more aggressive tread pattern.
one thing you could try is bump up the tire pressure in the front tires to stiffen the side walls a bit, but not too much to loose traction benefits of low tire pressure.

Yes check the alignment of the steering, and tire pressure will help. Check WARN's and highlifter's web site to see if there is a 2-4wd selector unit available for that bike yet. I put one on mine and it made a world of difference. If your front differential is locked, the bike will be harder to steer as well.

my wife says the same thing. we ride a sportsman 500. really & truly, you only have 3 choices. 1. a narrower front tire. 2. buy a lighter quad. or 3. tell your wife that quads dont come with power steering & she'll get use to it' if she continues to ride. im' not trying to be a hard ---, my wife finally just accepted the fact & she now accepts the fact that there is noting that i can do, other than buy a lighter quad, "which is unaccepatale."

you can liten up the toe in and that will make it easier to stear but increase your turining radius. its a trade off. most quads seem to have the toes out, esp. on two wheel drive.

good luck.

i have a 2001 Suzuki Quad King 500, I am going to give this ride to my wife so I can buy a faster one. She likes this Quad but thinks the stearing is too hard. I am wondering if changing the tires from the stockers to another type will help or if there is any adjustments to the suspension that will make it easier for her to turn. If anyone has any ideas, please help. I can't buy my new one until she is happy with this one. Thanks

Thanks guys, I will try putting a little more air in the fronts. She rode a friends Honda Foreman 4x4 ES and she thinks it was easier to stear. She wants one but then I don't get what I want.

Will adjusting the alignment make this easier to stear and if so how big a pain is it. I really have to figure this out I hate that Honda she wants. I am going to check the air pressure latter today and see if adding a pound or two up front helps.
