I'd like to have one, but MAN...that price is a little too steep for me. It sure looks like a nifty little gadget though. Have you seen the backhoe attachment or the front end loader for ATV's?

raider,

A buddy of mine has one of those mowers. It is reliable, and seems to work well. But there area a few problems with it. If the ground is even the slightest bit wet, like it rained a few days before, the tires tear the grass on turns so badly that he often has to do repairs to the turf. The other problem is that when you have a mowing deck with multiple blades, the cut can be very uneven - the more blades you have, the worse it can get- especially after a few seasons. I'd be leary of any deck with more than 3 blades - remember you have to take all of them off, sharpen them, and put them all back on each season. Also, there will be all sorts of adjustments to be made with all those blades to get a good even cut. It would be one thing if you were using it to brush-hog, or cut a very large area, but if you only plan on cutting a few acres or less, and it is your lawn, I'd have to advise against getting anything like this. My friend is trying to find a cheap riding mower now, because he tired of 3 seasons of his quad chewing up his yard.

Just my two cents.

Has anyone bought or know someone who has bought a belly mower for and ATV? I found one online at www.atvoutlet.com. It looks very cool. It is a 58", 5 - blade setup with a 16hp Honda motor. Please let me know if you have any information. I'm buying a 02 Rancher ES 4x4 with the hope of cutting my grass.

The backhoe is really cool. If I had an extra $5k laying around, I'd get one. The mower seems equally priced to the pull behind and cheaper than the front mounts.

Thanks for the input. I was a bit leary of the tires digging in, but my soil is mostly clay and hold together well. I'm so sick of my lawn tractor breaking down. I really wanted a John Deere 790 4x4 with turf tires, a loader, and a belly mower. Don't have the $16k.

Thanks again. I have 6 months to think about it, ready for the snow though.
