Thanks Tcat for the pictures, these ought to convince the wife that these machines are capable of plowing thanks again.

ATVs ALSO plow snow and do a good job of it. They're also good for yard work, field work and just having fun. If your wife doesn't want you to buy the machine for whatever reason she has, you have to show her the versatility of the machine. If you tell her it's just for plowing snow then you may as well save yourself $6,000 and go buy a good snow blower.
Augie, if your just plowing your driveway who are you trying to be visable to. I've never seen a strobe or caution light on an ATV for plowing unless it is a company owned machine and they do it for insurance purposes.

I have several winters now with my Moose Utilities plow. It was the best purchase i ever made. I push it with my Suzuki Eiger auto, I can do walkways, driveways, it gets in places a truck can't. It can be angled either left or right or straight. I use a Warn 2500 pound winch to lift it. The hardest part is getting the plow to line up with the plate on the bottom of my four wheeler. Little more work having to jump off and adjust, but at the price of ATV + Plow, its about the same as getting a plow setup for a truck.
Good luck.

Just make sure you know where all the curbs are before you go too fast while standing..you are liable to smash your face on the front rack like I did...I have a cycle country plow and winch I had to replace my "wear bar"..I don't know what the factory cost is so I just went down to the local steel yard and got a replacement peice of steel and drilled new holes and away ya go for about 3 bucks. Here is my toy.

Just got a 06 Camo King Quad with 60 in. State plow and Warn 2.5 winch to plow with. I love it. I have about 600 ft. of drive to plow. It's so easy to operate it, you can let your wife do the plowing. Good Luck!

I don't have any pics of me plowing, but I've gotten a month or so worth of practice with my new Polaris ATP. It's a 500cc utility and I got a Cycle Country 48" plow. It's WAY better than shovelling. Shovelling is lousy exercise. It'll wreck your back.
My ATP has gone through anything I've asked of it. I've even broken through the packed snow piles I've created from earlier plowing. I've gone through 12"+ of fresh snow and several inches of packed.
If you've got a very big driveway, I'd say you've got a great case for a plow setup.

My solution was to let my wife shovel the driveway for a change. I didn't shovel before work so by the time she got home the driveway was drifted shut and she couldn't get her car through, so she had to shovel her way to the house. Her response when I got home from work was that sucked, you're right we need a ATV with a plow.

Just a quick Question/Thought. I'm going to be doing the majority of my snow plowing at night when I get home from work so that the driveway is clear when my wife leaves in the morning. Do any of you use any sort of a strobe/flasher to make yourself more visible during night plowing? If so, what do you use and where did you find it?

The strobe was an Idea I got from people plowing with trucks and was something I would look into.
