Jerry,
Forgive me for not putting all of the stuff down, but yesterday was a work day and I had to get some sleep (tonight is an overtime night).
Seriously though, you should get a web page for yourself. With that much stuff on your Sport you should be proud to show it off. It really isn't that hard to make a page (I did mine myself, self taught), it just takes some time. Usually the pages are free from your server, you might be limited to 5 megs or so (like I am) but you can do a lot with those 5 megs.
I'll let you know how the coated piston works in about 2 weeks after it gets put back together.
See Ya!

All right, some bad ass quads...well, according to words. Do any of you have PICS?
Posted by: dhines
Trx440,
What do you think about the Wristrester? Does it make a difference? Any complaints?
How about the larger oil cooler? Does it make a noticeable difference on the engine temp? Was it difficult to mount? Where did you get it? How much? Tired of all the questions?!! Thanks man.
Dennis
BTW - the sparks pipe rocks. I just ordered one for myself.

dhines,
I just got back from Silver Lake dunes and it was extremely rutted and rough. With the Hauser +2 anti-vibe stem, Pro-Taper bars [RM 125], Denton steering stabilizer and the Wristrester, I experienced no arm-pump and more importantly to me, ,when I got up the next day, I wasn't sore in my neck / shoulder / back. I usually have a problem with those areas. If you can stomach the cost [$260] then get it. If you do any hare-scrambles i would strongly reccomend a total package like that.
Regarding the oil cooler. I sort of bought it for "insurance". To me, the #1 benefit of the Pingry is that it ups the capacity to @3 quarts vs. the @2 for stock. I have put too much time and money into my bike. If I've got 3qt. doing what 2qt.used to, it's a better situation. Plus, I'm human, I've been known to space off an oil change every so often. Pingry claims the bikes run 8-10 degrees cooler. I can't lie and say I could notice the difference in 250 degrees and 260 degrees. I will be able to tell you the exact difference here shortly. My friend just purchased a laser heat gun [ or what ever they are called ]. He is gonna test my bike vs. another buddie of mine's identically prep'ed 440 that still has the stock cooler on it. Should be interesting.
Once again, if you're running hare-scrambles at low speeds through the technicals, I can see the benefits. Does the average guy need it? No. Would it hurt? No.
The oil cooler was easy to install [a 15 minute job]. One word of caution, I cross threaded the fitting that goes from the bottom of the 'Rez to the engine. I was shocked at how easilly it happened. So be careful.
I believe the price was $295. I took 20 minutes and polished my stock 'Rez and I got $175 for it here on the classified board. That off-set the cost nicely.
Pingry is out of Tehachapi, CA and can be reached at [661] 822-7016
Good luck, -RT
