250cc 2-stroke dirt bikes are hot! A two stroke fires every two strokes, where a 4-stroke only fires every four.....so the 2-stroke is making power twice as often as the 4. A 250cc 2-stroke = about a 500cc 4-stroke.
Plus the bike has a big weight advantage as well. It's just some simple physics, unless he's just an absolutely terrible rider.

Not even close man, bikes have more power, and they weigh a lot less. A RM250 weighs somewhere around 220lbs. WET!

RM no problem... they dont weigh anything. They can smoke pretty-well anything.
The DS650 with 18" tires dont have much top end. (lots of bottom) About 72MHP

RM-250 not a doubt. Friend of mine out an RM250 motor in a blaster and it hauled a$$! Beat ds-650's all the way including top end on 18" tires. Now imagine that in the weight of a dirtbike and then piped and a K&N???? unless he is a terrible rider and you are the best rider ever i say RM all the way!!!!

No the RM blaster had 18" tires!! the DS had paddles and we were racing out in a cornfield and the blaster was slippin!

ive got a 04 honda 450r with a hmf pipe and jeted and k&n filter and my buddy bought a 05 suzuki rm250 with pipe and k&n filter. he said he could smoke me in a drag on dirt (riders bout same size).what do u all think.

yea its hard to beat a dirt bike on a stock or slightly modified atv juss because of the weight difference and the dirtbike usually gets better traction ive watched a stock yzf450 beat a 660 raptor that has everything u can think of done to it juss because it dirt bike gets out of the whole better while the raptor is sittin there spinnin and the weight difference helps alot to its juss had to win against a dirtbike when there is a good rider on it in a drag race on dirt

Dirtbikes have a way different power to weight ratio than atv's. I have never seen a quad come close to beating a CR500 not even modded out the ass shee's. As for the RM250 vs the 450R say bye bye 450R you will see the RM when you are on the start line but after that you see dust ive been on a piped and geared 450R and raced a stock 1987 yz250 and that bike ripped me right up like no tomorrow. heres some advice if someone asks you to race your quad and there on a bike save the embarrasment and say your quads not runnin right or someshit it looks better on you than getting WHOOPED.
