Hello there I have a 04 banshee and am looking into getting some new shocks for it and have been looking at the Elka dual rate compression adjustable shock and was wondering if anybody else out there had them and what they thought about them as well?

I would also be interested in what anyone else had to say about other shocks for the banshee and other brands.

Thanks for the help;

Kev

I would have have to say that any type of aftermarket upgraded shocks are better than stock. If I were you I would spend the money and get triple rate shocks. Works are a lot cheaper and every bit as good as Elka.

Yes, any aftermarket shock is better than stock, especially on a banshee. But be careful, becaue Banshee's have a 1 or 2 inch shorter travel than alot of other quads. Don't buy new shocks and end up sitting in the air and having a super narrow front end. Be sure to check the travel and all that jazz. You may need to upgrade your A-arms as well.

On the shocks themselves. Elka is legendary, but Hondanutcase is right, Works shocks are amazing as well. Then, there is always a cheaper route. My buddy just bought YFZ450 shocks off of ebay for his Banshee. After a few modifications to the shock mounts, he had beefy Yamaha resi shocks.
