Idiot, (shaking head in disgust). That is why the top two spots are held by Honda in GNC MX right now huh? It is preferance, different style rider's will be faster on different machines. Grow up or don't comment!

The YFZ is the better out of the box MX racer.The TRX is definitely more comfortable in stock trim.The H.P. difference is next to none (I've ridden both and it takes a dyno to tell them apart);YFZ revs faster and has more of a 2 stroke power band while the TRX has smooth power all the way through the rpm range. Choose your weapon.........

It all depends on the rider...these machines are so close together that it comes down to the better rider. The YFZ has a way meaner powerband that likes to be revved while the R has a smoother powerband. But I like the YFZ more than the LADYbug looking 450R.

the 450r is just a smoother quad. i have one i like the ride height on the yfz better but i lowered the stock suspension on mine and it drope it almost an inch. i think the braking on the 450r is a lot better and the front suspension on the r is better. the rear shock and linkage on the yfz is better it doenst buck you around as much as the r. i feel the r is more comfortable. the yfz has a very ferocious and powerful motor compared to the r's smooth power. in a drag stock for stock the yammie might be a little fast but it really depends on rider.

so now were gonna use pro racers to see what machine is betterthats the dumbest thing i ever heard. 1st of all it has to do with rider ability, and 2nd those machines arent even close to what most of ours are. they are both very close in every category. i have raced a stock 05 R with my stock 05 yfz and the yfz edged it by a quad length or a length and 1/2 everytime. but they were very close through the 1st few gears, and this was on pavement. the yfzs suspension is better for most jumping too. the hondas a bit more comfortable and has more low end torque. pick ur weapon

I have a 05 450r, and i just met a kid who had a yfz. I had never rode a yfz and he had never rode a 450r. So we swaped and he and i both agreed that my 450r felt more powerfull from 1st threw 3rd gears (we were on a small home made mx track).
both bikes were stock and in perfect running condition.
My 2 cents

Hey everyone.. I own a 05 YFZ450 i have never been able to ride a 450R YET! i was wondering if someone could tell me how good the 450rs actually are. I had a chose of buying any quad i wanted when i got my YFZ i was trying to chose between the 450r and the yfz at the time and i got the yfz because in my opion the 450rs are just about ugly (no offense to anyone who owns one because i guess they are good bikes i just dont care for the way they look) But i am just wanting to know how the 450r actually compares up to the YFZ.

u r dumb thats y natalie on a HONDA has one almost every mx race, and notice that 2 of the 3 races natalie hasnt won were won by tim farr, and only one of those races were one by kieth little on a yamaha.
