Go with the HMF slip on and the Rath Racing header, this is a great set up!

Rezzie shocks on the TLD..shorter gears2,3,4...and the least important item is the graphics.

Where do you ride that you need 5th gear that much anyway?
4th tops out around 55..and if you ride 55 on the trails you should be racing in GNCC

Raj..not sure if you covered this already..what differences have you noticed sence changing exhaust?

yeah plus if i get sick of the slower gears and want a faster woods machine i can always put in a 12 tooth sprocket and ill sacrafice a little top end but get better acceleration. yeah i was lookin at the HMF sport series exaust and i could get that with the money i save but i found a known dealership near me that is selling a 05 pred for $5799 which is i really good deal considering that they go for $6200. But im gonna go with the 05 pred. thanks for the replys and suggestions Text

In my opinion i would get the standard edition for 400 hundred dollars less and buy a good pipe to go along with it. My friends who are brothers boutht those 2 quads. The TLD was a little faster in a drag race. First through Fourth was great but it suffered on Fifth. It was making almost a 15 mph gap which hurt it in a medium legnth dragrace. This cannot be fixed, unless you have alot, alot of money. Now the standard edition predator has better woods and trail suspension. It will run with my modified raptor 660. After he in stalled his Trinity pipe he smoked me. This is no B.S. he got the jump on me and pulled away all the way past top end. My raptor has an FMF full system pipe and K&N air filter and jet kit. The one on the TLD can stay with me till i hit 3rd gear and then i just run from him. Hope i can help you make your decision.

They are about the same. It depends on the rider and tires. To me the stock can be lugged abit more in mud by slipping the clutch, resulting in less wheel spin. I have never rode in sand but i have rode in the mud and they are both a delight. Also Heatseeker8 mentioned "where do you actually ride in 5th gear that much anyway" That is another good perspective on your situation. In tight wooded areas the TLD is more of a delight due to its close ratio gearing through 1-4. To the unexperienced rider this type of quick acceleration might be too much. I am a pretty good rider at 15 and it can be a handfull if you start to run through the gears to fast. I am sure you are a great and experienced rider but i was just saying that this has some pretty impressive woodes acceleration. But as it seems you want to ride at a fast pace anywhere i would personally go with the stadard edition. It has the wide ratio gears like the raptor and the suspension to go with it. In the trails it can be kept in second or third gear either lugging around or blazing down the trail like there is no tomorrow. This is your call both are fine machines they have just a different way of going about how they get up to speed. But as i said earlier you can buy the standard one and with the 400 or however much money you save and buy a performance pipe. The pipe will make you faster than equally modified raptors and z-400s. Now the infamous yfz 450 i don't really know those things are pretty wicked. Hope i could help.
