The KFX got the changes to. The Z and KFX are identical. The DVX did not get the changes tho.
BTW, you can buy the front cowl of a KFX and slap it on a Z. Unless you just want green or orange anyways.

i just got one haven't got a chance to really start jumping it yet but i love this quad every thing about it... yeh its no 450 but with a few mods you could be ceepin up

in a drag the 450s will walk away from the 400. in the trails its all up to the rider. so far ive only bottomed out a couple times on my Z and even yfz's were bottoming out on this jump. in the air it flies nice and nuetral.

If you can ride, then you can keep up with the "450"'s. My friend's YFZ has a Ti-4 slip on, and Pro Design kit/no lid. I raced him when mine was stock, and if I got the holeshot, he wouldn't pass me. But if he did, I couldn't catch him. With my current mods (not much), I beat him nearly every time. And always in the trails. Just ride like he!!
PS- I love my Z, and suggest you DO get the KFX. I wouldn't trade mine for any other quad right now.

I agree with Alky dude get the '05 z400 cuz it's got the resivoir shocks, more power and many other improvements to it. I mean with the z you'd be safer jumping higher up then on the kfx just my 2 cents and sides the DVX looks betta

i no they are the exact same quad just different colors but if i were you i would get the z 400. if your gonna buy a 05 model why not get an 04 yfz or 450r?

The reason i want the kfx is i like the front nose peice better than the z400s, and i also like the colors. Also the reason i dont get a 04 yfz or trx 450 is because they dont have reverse, and i need it for trail riding.
