The Warrior/Raptor 350 is a good quad but I just can't see moving from a 250ex to a Raptor 350. Not saying that it isn't a move up but it's still a beginner quad. Why not go with one of the 400's? They are quicker, handle better, have more potential and don't cost that much more. Think he'd be happier in the long run. JMO.

Indeed .. BR>
That sawdust pile looks like a blast to ride on .. maybe if I can get my Warrior up NS way, or if you can get your EX down newfie way we can hook up. We're both Trevor's so our skills have to be the same So it will be upto the bikes then .. hehe LOL

They say (whoever "they" are??) that it's a new suspension on the raptor. I can't honestly say I see a difference in the front. The rear is different in that it doesn't have rebound adjustment like the Warrior had.
So all that being said, and considering that the Raptor is ~ 25lbs lighter than the Warrior, I would say the Rap is probably just as stiff as the Warrior.
I still have trouble thinking of the Warrior's suspension as stiff. I find mine to be soft if anything .. perfect for trail riding, not great for jumping ..

Not to knock the Raptor 350 at all - but since he's already got a 250ex and has some riding experience - he might be happier in the long run stepping up to one of the 400s. Check out the Z400 or the EX.

I just bought my son a Raptor 350 a couple of weeks ago and he's having a blast on it. Can't wait till I feel up to riding again so we can hit the parks together.

All I know about the new 350 is my son loves his. He runs the crap out of it and hasn't had a problem yet. We looked at a few different makes and the salesman made us a great deal so the raptor350 was the best buy for us.

I had the choice between a warrior and a 300ex for about the same price and I ended up getting the 300ex and I don't regret it at all!

The Raptor350 and Warrior are nothing alike except for the engine .....
We've owned both machines, and the Raptor is far superior in every single way to the Warrior.... they are not even close to the same quad ....... the only things the same are the engine and the core box of the frame...... which is really nothing .....
The ergonomics and geometries are all different, and it's a lot lighter...... which pretty much makes it a totally different machine ...

I like my 350, put a hmf pipe on it, I'm 5'6" and 135lbs. chick and it suits me fine, I used to have a blaster but wanted a smoother ride, and a electric start and reverse, so I bought me the Raptor 350 and my son the Raptor 660, he had a Warrior, that he trashed. We both just moved up a notch. So yeah it's a good quad, takes trails and flat land good, have'nt had a chance to hit the dunes yet, but I'm ready...

yea it's a good quad. i havent heard anything bad about them yet anyway. basically a warrior and i remember those were pretty fun and reliable.

Depending on how hard you ride your only complaint, well mine, was the front suspension and tires, both are easy fixes with some aftermarket parts. Ohh and its not the fastest quad on the block, but that also can be worked on. The motor really wakes up once you get a higher flowing intake and exhaust on it.

Thanks boys, anyways, its a fun bike, but you have to remember its an old technology bike, and there is stuff out that is faster, better handling, etc. But if your just looking for a fun trail bike, nothing to crazy, but still has some speed to it, i would suggest it. Its a good bike to learn and progress on, not too powerful where it will scare you, easy to take care of,and a 6spd tranny so it has a decent top speed

ok but he was askin about the raptor 350

Bad move, now the argument about the raptor 350 being a warrior with plastics is gonna start, then the yamaha/honda crap, then the "my bike will smoke yours".......................................................
Posted by: VelociRaptor350
See, i tried to warn you that was a bad move
Posted by: VelociRaptor350
The front suspension is the same, which means it sucks, it takes bigger hits better then smaller ones, small little whoops can really start to kill your wrists if your riding hard. the rear is great now, you can feel the difference when you jump on a warrior and then jump on a rappy. The rappy also feels more sporty, it has better ergonomics, you jump on it and it just "feels" better. BR>

LOL, i love these threads, everyone always gets so pissy. LOL, anyways, yeah its a fun bike, there are better bike, there are worse bikes, but they all do the same thing.

just out of curiosity, how much are the warrior and the raptor 350 different when it comes to the riding aspect, my buddy charlie had a warrior for less then a year and yeah it had good power but man was it a bumpy ride, is the suspension still stiff on the new models of warriors and raptors? or has it softened up a bit
