I have ehs lids on my 400's and 450. Love them, but I live in relatively dry country (except for this year!). They certainly are not water proof, but they are water repellent. If you run in big time water, you will just have to keep the solid lid on!

Get an EHS lid. A few of us have them and they work great.....

me, even in snow and water 1/2 way up my engine, with no lid and i never get a drop in my airbox.

I run without the lid and no bottom and the outerwear wont stop water . I know I hit some water around 6 inches deep and almost killed the motor
but it stops everything else from getting in
look at my pics #2 . rode for 2 hrs and only killed it once because of water

nope I wish I never cut the bottom out. it makes for to many problems

ok i wanna take the lid off my airbox but i trail ride and im afraid of water gettin in there. I just got a pro design clamp on filter adaptor kit. Who rides trails with some mud on them with threre air box lid off?? I also have a outerwear to go on the filter how good is that to keep the water out??

well u dnt have an air box man... thats a direct hit with water and everything it can take a minor splash and be fine because the box still stops most oh the water still evn without the lid
