I have not owned a Blaster for many years. Jumped on my friends the other day, and now I remember what fun that little bike is! But truth be told, it is a wee boys and girls bike. It's so much fun, because I can toss it around like a toy!
As for being crap, a Blaster will require a whole lot more rebuilds than a 4-stroke, and the suspension travel is limited.

Okay this has to be one of the funniest threads i've seen in a while.
I own an 01 STOCK Xplorer 400 last year polaris put out this machine I love it and I'm here to agree with everyone it's not THAT fast. it's quick but not fast.
the Polaris 700 twin i had will out run it after about 40 mph i was impressed with the Xplorer it kept up that long.
Only way it could keep up with my old Raptor and my current Predator is in a 100/200 foo drag on a dirt road when the Xplorer is in 4X4 and you break stand on it a little. on tar the Predator launches 2 bikes on it before i even smack 3rd.

I guess I'm thinking of the 240cc ported and polished screamers. You can make those 2-strokes run! Ridden a couple 250r's that would've smoked my 400ex in a drag. And they weren't that modded.

Like i said before my brother has a blaster there really easy, and cheap to fix up , there good for racing i think becouse they are so light and you can toss them around the corners like nothing they have really good handling. Scottland me n Lethaface are with you and a bunch of other blaster riders. Almost everyone that has riding a blaster has loved it.

ya right..... u didnt kill it by like 20 lenths unless he sux at riding or u got a port and polish 240 and he was stock. ive raced them in sand and dirt and i only win by a few lenghts..... thats if there piped
its simple, blasters are cheep fun..... i payed 1400 for mine and put 300 into it and i can run with some decent bikes.... im plannin on spending another few hundred on a 4+ swing arm, new tires, reed spacer, hydro brakes, and a boost bottle. if u get a used blaster for say 2000, u could have a hell of a fun bike for under 3000. tahts just my $.02
and i hate the people who think blaster are the fastest thing in the world.... cause stock there prtty slow but like anything els they can be made fast

Craptor? Man why do you have to put down other peoples quads? His 350 rappy is not running right or you got many modes in your blaster. If you keep putting down rappys/warriors one of these days your going to run into one like mine and get you A$$ smoke bad.

that was in referance to the kid that thinks his xplorer is the best. god i hate people like that, the 450r is made for speed, the xplorer isnt. 4 strokes can be just as fast as 2-strokes.

The yamaha blaster is one of the most underated atvs! If the correct mods are made the blaster is competent to run with alot of other racing bikes including the banshee (mind you is a twin cylinder) a few hundred dollars and some machine work you have yourself a big suprise in a small package!
