I know the Ds numbers where pretty accurate at 75mph. One of my friends is a Sheriff and his radar gun said 74 with me on it, with a stock DS. I go 300+. With the pipe and jetting mph increased to 78.

Ya the DS650 definatly has them all on top end. Even at that, the rev limiter on it is set so low that you just bounce of it at 75MPH. Plus being geared really low you hit the limiter VERY fast. If you get a different rev box and/or gear up a tooth you can have some scary top end speed. I geared my DS650 up a tooth and I passed a truck that was supposedly going 90MPH but I know truck speedo's arn't always accurate. But the guy in the truck was blowed away by the top end of my DS. But I know you can get 80+MPH by gearing up a tooth. I kinda like it geared stock for summer for the extra torque though. But again, the rev limiter is a pain in the a$$ and I sure hope I get a different rev box soon.....

it hought u said every stock quad does different speeds or something like that with liek a rappy that does 78 and one that does 83, and your saying a z cant outrun a rappy and yours can smoke a ds, but if that first statement is true non else is true. theres gotta be one z that can out run a rappy and one ds that can out run a ds if they all run different,u dipstick!

My 04' baja X went 77.1 mph totally stock maxed out and pinging the rev limiter in 5th. With the edition of a +1 front sprocket, RWR clutch springs, K&N with stock jetting I am hitting 81.9 mph in the same distance (1/4 mile) but I still hit the rev limiter about 100ft from the end. I have pulled every Raptor modded or stock that i have raced. I have never raced a bored or stroked Raptor so I imagine the results would be a bit different if I had. I have however raced many, many piped, jetted and airboxed modded raptors and have pulled everyone by the end of 4th gear at the latest. I shift into 5th and start to pull hard on them. One of my friends did hit 80mph on his piped rappy. His machine ran the best out of all of the piped raptors. He has a first generation Curtis Sparks pipe on his.

First of all untouchables, I don't have a buddy or know somebody's cousin who has a radar. I have access to a laser gun and stalker radar because I am what my forum name says. I also use my Garmin GPS as another reference. I have clocked many many quads, including many Raptors. The fastest piped Raptor I have EVER come accross was 80mph. NO stock rappy ever went eighty mph unless it was going down hill at a steep angle with the wind behind it. Face it, a stock Raptor does mid 70's stock period. To get five mph more takes some mods to do.

I find this very funny because you take fact (top speed within +/- 1mph) and somebody throws their delusional thinking into the mix and 1mph can become 10 mph. Funny, isn't it? As for untouchables, I believe that he means well but if his speed reading skills are as poor as his spelling and english skills that would explain his whole mix up with reality.

My Stock Raptor goes 75 and My Buddys Stock Banshee goes 77. The Ds650, Raptor, Banshee, Predator are all about the Same in Top Speed Stock. You can get 2 Raptors and 1 will be faster then the other. Both same weight and everything and 1will always pull away. Every Quad runs Different.

I know this is about top speed, but my dad's friend can consisently beat my uncle's KFX700 on his Z in a drag race. Both are stock and it was in sand.

A stock scram will not do 70....only 65 and it takes it awhile to get to that. I own one. AND THERE'S NO WAY A STOCK RAPTOR WILL DO 83. Either you have been lied to or you havent realized that car speedometers are not accurate.

What is the top speed difference in the Z400/KFX400 vs. the DS650 and Raptor? Will the 400 be that much slower or does the 375 weight make up a lot of the difference in the cc's?

cop there is no way your friend has a sparks pipe and his quad only does 80 because my raptor did 83 stock and when i added the curtis sparks pipe before i got the 690 kit i was doing around 90 my yfz even goes faster than that ds when it was stock my yfz did 82 stock and it was quicker than my raptor

alright do you guys know that every raptor doesnt go the same speed because i know 2 other people with stock raptors one does 78 and the other does 81 and they are bone stock so how is that not possible just because they are faster than your quad and you have a biased opinion because you think you have the fastest quad im not trying to start an arguement but if you dont believe its not my problem we have a road thats straight for about 3 miles and me and a car went down that road and when i topped out the cars spedometer said 83 and dont even try to make up some bs about spedometers aren't acurate or w/e else you want to say and i dont really care how fast my quad went stock because i know i could smoke a ds when my raptor was stock and i can beat a ds by even more now with both of my quads and im not one of those people who try and say there quads are the fastest quads ever because they are not but i deffinately know a stock raptor is faster than a stock ds and that my quads would beat yours so im not too worried what you think

well i think im about done with this topic because im not going to get anywhere with all these people who hate raptors just because they know they are faster than there quad but they try to act tough to look cool or something then they get other biased people behind them just look at it this way i know i dont have the best quads and never will but i know my yfz would take any ds in the woods and on the track and my raptor would take any ds in the dunes on hillclimbs and in the woods a stock yfz would take a stock ds off the line easily because it has the best power to weight ratio of any quad and they are quicker than the ds so they would get through the gears quicker and they would win because even if the ds was faster than a yfz which its not it would just be playing catch up the whole time and it would probably take 5 miles to catch it but its not faster so i dont really care what anybody with a ds says that think they are faster than a yfz and raptor and you probably think your quad is faster than a cannondale, gas gas, quadzilla, shee and predator too dont ya?

well cop whenever you want to race just tell me and ill race you with my quads and ill bring my friend that has a stock raptor and you can race him too and we will see how fast a raptor goes and what does reading spelling and english skills have to do with anything does this look like school to you? My friend has a Scramber and it goes 70 stock and he raced my Z and my Z is stock and it smokes his Scrambler. I raced a Raptor and he beat me by three quad lengths. And I got stopped by a cop and he clocked me goin 74 whats with that. And mine is stock. Oh yah I don't advise getting stopped going fast in the middle of a road not good thing to be caught doing. And my Z also beats a EX and how fast does a EX go?
