probaly, cannondale or baja but the baja might be to wide and if you want to run low pressure your gonna need beadlocks.

I'm guessing it would be the new DS650 BAJA... but I'm hoping some people that have actually ridden many different quads would respond
looking to set up a sport quad for trail riding, and wonder which quad would handle rough terrain the best after I set up the suspension as soft as it will go, run low air pressures in the tires, etc.... other things to consider is the seat softness and size, as well as ease of steering, etc.
let me know what you all have experienced or think... thanks

oh, I know... I have a 400EX and it is set up soft
but I'm hearing so much praise about the DS... how comfortable the seat and ergonomics are, how plush the suspension is, but they say it turns a little stiff for a sport quad

i think hes talkin about sport machines... i dunno if i set all the shocks all the way soft on my EX its really nice and smooth until you start jumpin it.

In my opinion, the DS 650 is, by far, the most comfortable quad to ride on. I'm 6'1" and it seemed to fit me perfect but the weight is what changed my mind since I race mx. The seat is like a big pillow and it's easy on the knees since the seat extends over the sides by your legs. The handling wasn't bad, but not near as good as a R, EX, or my Dale... I only weigh about 155 lbs and I've heard that heavier riders, such as in the 225+ lbs range, make the quad handle much better. The width is a little wide for those tight technical trails and since it's a little heavy, it would be harder to get out of those rough sections where reverse is handy.

I would think that is hard to beat the ride of the polaris machines.

Yep... The ride on the ds is a little stiff.I think the EX is the most plush out of all the Quads we have rode. But everyone has there own feel i guess.I think the ex is your best bet.good luck

sounds like your talkin about my quad, I run only three pounds and so much travel you'd have to be a sumo to bottem it out. I took my fat sister over the thirty-foot gap jump out back my house,It does fly a little tail heavy this way. Think'n about strapin my st. bernerd to the front bumper with some bailin' twine this should take care of the flying imbalances. And believe me the 660r raptor has plenty of power left over, to cream a honda 400ex.

I think the smoothest ride must be one of the honda sporttrax line up
