I have a 1998 300ex and only ever had to change the oil & filter in it.well this year I had to replace the battery,darn it...

You should watch out for the dealer/mechanic who claims the hondas are not reliable :) I ride a banshee for the most part...But for those touchy days that the 2 stroke wants to be tweaked....I push the button on the 400ex and it starts and runs.

i seen a 300ex for sale today and i was just wondering if they break like the old hondas i had a 1986 trx 125 and it sucked it brock all the time this guy who owns a salvage yard had about 20 and they all had broke transmissions he said 90% of all the 125's made had the transmission tear apart i really dont like honda because of that but if this 300ex is not that much i will probley buy it but i want to know what all has broke on you guys 300ex's and what should i look out for. thanks 1987 kawasaki mojave 110 2 1986 honda trx 125's (both broke) new quad coming soon

If u havt realize honda is known for its reliable quads. MY 250x is in just as good as mecahnical shape as any 300ex and my x is an 87.JUst take care of ur quad and it will last .Except if it is a polaris(this is a opinion about the polaris)

I have not had any problems with mine and I ride it hard do big jumps and it still runs like new.

Its very realible if you take care of it. But if you misuse it and dont maintain it, it wont do good.
