Go to ATVOFFROAD.NET and you can download the ordinances and also find out which counties are ORV friendly.

Because the DNR were really the only 'ROADBLOCKS' to opening up these County roadways when the discussions took place and THEY dont like the idea that these roadways did open, dispite their efforts to keep them closed..
For some reason, the DNR dont see the economic impact that opening up these Co roadways has on supporting the local economy..I guess its far easier and more profitable for the DNR to hand out tickets instead of supporting the locals in the town.

Montmorency, Presque Isle and Cheboygan used to be the only ones in the L.P.; now you've got the newly opened system in and around Rose City. Check with your local DNR or the sherrif's department for the exact wording of these laws (they're different everywhere you go).

Blackballed, Thanks for info but DNR and Sherriffs Dept. gave me nothing but the run around and no concrete info.
Muddy4life, Thanks for the link ,atvoffroad.net , It had the exact info needed. Wonder why the DNR wont update it to their site??

That sounds about right Bill for the DNR. As for economic impact several of my friends and I are headed for Mountmorency Co. this weekend to ride, one of us has a cabin on Lk. Avalon neart Hillman. We are all in our 50s and we WILL be spending money there.
