Can anyone tell me what a poker run is. Is it worth while to go and do.

It can be alot of fun if it is organized right. They usually turn into a poker run/race.

The ones that I have been to work like this, others may differ from place to place.
Everyone starts out by putting money in the kitty to ante up. Then everyone goes on a long ride with 5-7 stops along the way. At each of these stops everyone is given one playing card at random. At the end of the ride, the player with the best poker hand wins the pot, or a portion of the pot as set forth by the ride sponsor. They are a lot of fun, especially if you have quite a few riders. Ante up.
