I might be wrong and have never seen a Sand Rail in operation but it could have something in common with airplanes so you don't have to shout at one another when trying to communicate.

Over my winter break i went to pismo, and while i was there i noticed that there were these guys in buggies with head sets on. I also noticed a few guys in a tricked out jeep had them. what are the head sets for?
