I bought my grandson A yerf-dog 150cc go cart. The top end on that is about 35 mph. Clocked it with my truck at the Jean dry lake bed's. Bought it for the grandkid's but my wife and I have fun with it to. Had to beef up the shocks though.

Yes it was made in China. The acceleration is pretty quick. It's A Howlett motor. If you don't work on it yourself, the only place's I have found to work on them is lawnmower shop's. Same with part's if you don't order from the factory you can get most part's through Lawnmower shop's.Good luck keep me posted.

It would be nearly impossible to get 25cc's out of a bore job and have any cylinder left. You got scammed. maybe it's a 154 or 155 now but that's about it!!! Think about getting a 350 chevy bored .030 over. Then it's still only a 355 cubic inch engine!! You really don't gain much on cc's with a bore job and virtually no power. Th eonly power you gain is the power lost from being worn out unless you add high compression goodies or a bigger cam!

Just purchased a Kinroad 150cc Go Kart, which is supposed to be bored to a 175cc. However, I can't find any paper work showing the engine has be bored out. Is there anyway to tell. Also, assembled the thing looks awesome but, acceleration is poor and top end is no more than 25 to 30MPH. Is this correct or, did I get sold a lemon?
