I love my HMF. I think you can see it in one of my pics. I think it was dirtwheels that did a pipe shootout for the z. They have dyno charts for some of the more popular pipes. If you do a search on here you'll find it. HMF didn't give the highest peak gain, but it showed a very smooth powerband with good gains throughout the rpm range. That's why I chose it. With that and the big gun +1200 cdi with the advanced timing curve, I got a lot better power and it's factory smooth. I'd rather have a nice smooth power delivery than a peaky one. If I want that, I'll just ride my quadracer.

I flipped the throttle upside down so I can pull it with my pointy finger. I still can't ride the rough terrain very fast, 'cause it makes it hurt. I couldn't even do wheelies (unless I was going pretty fast on smooth ground and just leaned back and gunned it) without it hurting until a few days ago. Even still I've got to let go before it comes down.

i had a dirtbike when i broke mine so i could do the throttle pretty easily. ( i broke my right one )

I'm SOL with the Harley though. Twist throttle, I won't even get to ride it one last time before I have to sell it.
I got a waterproof cast this last time. It's only an extra $22.50 and you can shower and swim with it. It's already junk though. I gotta go in on 5/11 to get a new one anyway. It's such a critical bone to break, that I have to keep going in to get it cut off, x-rayed, and a new one put on.

Yeah my brother hopped on it and said WTF how do you ride it like this, it's a pain in the @ss!! It is, but it's the only way I can do it. It's way harder, especially in the woods with no trails. Well lots being cleared with all kinds of brush and ruts.

By both I assume you mean the radius bones, which are the common ones to break. I broke the scaphoid (sometimes called the nevicular) which is a carpel bone. It's a hard bone to break because your hand has to be in a certain position and requires "a lot of trauma", to quote my Dr. It has a low blood flow, which is why it takes a lot longer than the standard 4-6 weeks. I've read of many cases where it takes 9 months. Unfortunetely, I've read more of those cases than ones that took 3 months. But my Dr. is pretty confident that it can heal in 3 months and that I won't need surgery because it's a pretty clean break that runs perpendicular to the bone and not at an angle. He said only a 10-15% chance I'll need surgery. That will suck too, because I'll spend the 3 months (maybe longer) in a cast and if it doesn't work, then surgery.

hopefully, if I behave, it should be a full or near full recovery. I need to have fine motor movement with my hands. I'm an electrician, so I'm constantly using my hands in every kind of rotation you can. Especially when working with fire alarm and other low voltage with small wires. I've worked with wires almost as big as a mag lite too, but usually with that kind of amperage we just parrallel them.
