The guy is simply asking if anyone else has had this happen. If you can't help him then don't respond with he's stupid or he's trying to sue somebody. Are those the responses you guys would want if it happened to you?

Well I see I've found all the exclamation points that were missing.

I smell spin.

Just depends on which of the three threads (so far) he's got going on this.
The only case he would have would be against the dealer who cleared the ATV. Unless anyone responding has gone to the same dealer, he's just pissin' in the wind.

How did you break your leg, exactly? Sounds like it is time to visit a different service department too.

its not polaris.......this guy is stupid for getting back on something that is broken....especially the drive train........and now he wants us to join up with him while he sues polaris.

i have a buddy that had a 6x6 that would disengage to 2wd from time to time and then his ranger last year would do the same thing. with all the problems he has had every year with his brand new polaris's cause he buys a new one every year well it sounds like he is going with a rhino next year. i don't agree with the buy a yamaha and you won't have any problems cause you can have problems with anything but i do agree with the statement buy anything other then a polaris and you will have alot less problems.

He will have to prove it was the machine that caused the accident, not rider error. Going up against a company like Polaris will take lots of time and money!!

No it has not happen to me or anyone I know.

Operator error? one time I hit the all-wheel drive-switch on my sp as I was turning aroung on a trail and stood it up on its rear rack. But to get on a machine and ride it when you know its broken, and then want to sue polais because the dealer, not the manufacturer, said that there was nothing wrong with it? you'll win fore sure.

Have 2000 scrambler 500 4x4 with front end engaging in 2wd, only one front wheel. Machine is maintained by dealer. Had it to dealer for problem and he replied nothing was wrong. Dealer gave me atv back to ride. While riding a few weeks ago it engaged one front wheel while in 2wd at 40 mph, now I am a loyal 40 year old polaris rider with a broken leg and ankle from scrambler death trap. Looking to but together a list of owners with same problem. Want to know how many atv's out there with this problem, maybe its a design problem with 4x4 system. If the riders of the atv community can help me, please respond. Wouldn't sell my atv to my son, never mind anybody elses. Currently owned polaris toys: 93'Indy Storm,98'XC 700,02'XC Edge X 800, 03' Tricked out victory vegas and 1 electric scooter.
Wife's toys: 01' XCSP 600and 98' Trailblazer. Plus my 500 scrambler 4x4 death trap mentioned above. All purchased new from polaris.

Stop me if I'm wrong but I don't remember anything being said about a lawsuit. I have heard of similar problems with front hubs, maybe recall before some nineteen year old has one engage at 50mph and can't hold on and breaks his neck.
As far as stupid goes I think that would refer to all the people leaving smart _ss comments. It's pretty simple if you haven't had this problem don't reply. Thank You!
