Yes, the inurance should cover the damages at the expense of higher insurance for years to come. You pay your insurance rates to be legal, and if you have an accident the insurance company gets that money back 2-fold over the years through higher rates. What a crock. I would tell my so called buddy to go ahead and destoy the rest of my toys...hes off to a hellova start. A true friend would at least try to make things right.

If your ATV and Truck are insured with the same company, they probably will not pay as there is probably a clause that says that if your cars hit each other you are not covered.

Usually the drivers insurance should cover the damage since they were driving.

I think I would have to accidentally hit my friend with the truck.

if he is a lisenced insured driver, wouldn't HIS insurance cover it?

Might I ask how did he manage that. If that happened to me I would have beat him round the yard.

One thing I notice when you say NO to friends they get pissed off and start hasseling you about it til you let them ride it, the when someit happens they just walk away. I just tell people no to ridin my zilla, imaging letting an inexperienced first timer on a 500 2-stroke they would smack the bike into somethin. I don't mind people ridin my kx too much because its not as powerful.

if you turn it in to the insurance at least have him pay the deductible. i had one of my so called buddies crash my brand new shiny beautiful atv with about 100 miles on it right smack dab into a bigass oak tree. well the headlight popped out and it pushed the winch back into the radiator and about 15 of us seen him do it and he then had the gull to say that nothing happened when he hit the tree that i did it earlier in the day and that i was trying to get my whole front end fixed for nothing. he did at least admit that he broke the headlight pod but never did see any money for that. i now learned my lesson whenever someone asks to drive one of my toys i say go buy your own. oh and i did have a girl that i went out with one night let her drive my truck cause i was drinking and she backed into my garage and all she said was oops well 700 dollars for that and i never got nothing and when i say nothing i absolutely got NOTHING. well expensive but learned my lesson.

I doubt that his insurance would cover it. However, I think he has the moral obligation to pay for the repairs out of his own pocket. At the very least, he ought to cover any increase in your premium.

He banged MY ATV INTO MY TRUCK! Now aside from from me haveing insurance is there any other method of his insurance that would cover it? I don't want my premiums to go up because he's a knucklehead. Any advice would help. Estimate is bout $2100.00 on the ute itself.
