Does anyone know if the military has any ATV's in use. I have seen the "dune buggy" assault vehicles in use by some special forces and wondered if ATV's were ever used. Thanks.

A while back they were testing King Quads to be used by the special forces. But.. never heard any more about it. One of the magazines had a shoot out with a quad vs a HUMVEE.

The Coast Guard uses quads for S.A.R. and a lot of government agencies uses them too like Fugitive Recovery Marshals. My brother is a CID Agent(the FBI of hte Military) in the Marines and he says that he has seen quads a lot of times in use.

Doc, I seen a show on the Discovery channel showing the army experimenting using remote controled quads(Hondas I think) for scouting. They had infered cameras for night vision. There thought was to send the quad in when it was to dangerous to send a person in.
