MSU really shouldnt have gotten that far, I thought they would have lost to Syracuse (Syracuse was a better team than Duke IMO). But no cuse means MSU got a run at it. They tried to run with UNC and forgot that they are a power Big Ten team and not another ACC group of atheletes. That was thier downfall, it showed in the second half. Shooting percentages were terrible for MSU as well.
If Illinios plays the way it can, it has a chance. But my bracket has had this same final 2 matchup all year and I still think UNC will win. The Illini are a great team, its just UNC's game to lose.

Talk to me when the rest of the country is apologizing for underestimating the Illini. I had them number 1 all the way through the national championship since day 1 of the season. Tonight Illinois will beat UNC in a very close hard fought game.

Maddog was close, only off by 2. The tarheels were stomping Illinois at half, but Illinois came back. I think the big key for Carolina was getting Augustine in foul trouble early and keeping him out of the game. And big Sean May led the way with 26 points on his birthday. McCants isn't my favorite player, did you see the way his cocky a$$ was holding up the jersey after the game, they ain't going to hang it up in the Dean Dome I hope. But anyway GO HEELS! They got some good recruits coming in next year. And could possibly repeat?
