Better get a good used sled otherwise be ready to shell out a lot of money. If new interests you, look at Ski-Doo's new Rev's.

For a new F6 with taxes will set you back almost 8 grand.
Friend just got one.

BigBaller,

If you are starting out I would suggest getting a used one and especially since you stated thet you do not get much snow. There is nothing worse then making payments on something and it is just taking up room in the garage. There are lots of deals out there to be had and 2 or 3 grand will get you started, from there, it is up to you and DADS wallet on where you end up.

I ride a Polaris XLT LIMITED 600 with a 136 inch track, 1.5 inch paddles and it has the extra 12 suspension and everything else is stock. I picked it up this fall for 1800 dollars and it does everything I want it to do.

Catterman,

Whats up? Haven't heard from you in awhile. Did you ever get your bear? I see you recomending your Artic Cats again, a few years ago I would of thought you crazy but they have come a long ways. Now I gues it is time for Polaris to step up to the plate like Artic Cat, Ski- Doo and even Yamaha with their 4 stroke technology. I like Polaris though or I should say at least I know how to work on them, so that helps make my decision on what to buy.

MDRacing,

??????????????????????????????????? What was all that about? Do you have anything useful to add to this thread?

Now a days almost all (not the 4-strokes) are light. How much money do you have to spend???? If you want some speed, I would suggest a Firecat! The F7 will beat other 800's. Take a look at the F5 & F6 also.

Arctic Cat makes them, go down to the dealer and take one for a ride! You won't get off it! img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> Opps, my scrolly thingy just went crazy and put all those there... I would get a 370 or 440 because they have plenty of power and not too powerful either. Get an arctic cat no matter what. I use to love riding my 370 arctic cat till I sold it for my 400ex. BTW- I'm 14 and i'm sure u guys know me on here since I post alot, so that's proof all of us don't talk trash. But most do unfortunatly.BR>Later, cory

For someone your age you can't go wrong with a liquid cooled Polaris 440. They rip plenty good.

Alaskaboy,

I just checked, he is 14. It seem that MOST not all, but most 14 year olds have no valid info or advice and just like to talk trash because they are ignorant to the way it is perceived by everyone else. It is just something about the internet we all have to ignore. Until I see something valid, I just don't pay attention to some posters.

Know one seems too ask what type of terrain you are going to ride.Is it all flat, Molehills,or mtns.Heard good things about the Cats.I have a Polaris RMK.Deep snow?Trails, off trail, what?Do not buy the first sled you see.Every one has their own opions and favorites.I live out west, its all about big horse power.Deep snow ,big hills.

I was watching winter X games and I saw the sled super cross, and now I want a snowmobile. I am not going to be riding alot, so it doesnt have to be the best one. I want one that is small in size and is a light sled. Which do you suggest?

Posted by: BigBaller

Im alrite on the money, but I dont want to spend a fortune, because here in NY it dont snow much. Who makes those sleds that you were talking about.

Posted by: BigBaller
