I couldnt tell you where to get them or who makes them, but I have a few pair of rough leather gloves with a looped white cotton inner layer that I use when ice racing. I have paid over 75 dollars on a single pair of gloves before and have tried everything I could get my hands on (excuse the pun) and I have yet to find anything warmer while still allowing enough dexterity to race.

Please give a review of the bad weather gloves you have used!

I have tried several different ones. Here is how I rate them:

Extreme Cold- MSR Cold Pro. I don't like the fluffy feel they have, but they are the warmest by far.

Moderate Cold- Moose Monarch Pass and Fox Thermal Paw. I used the Thermal Paws on a snow ride yesterday (which prompted me to write this post). There were a couple of inches of fresh snow on the ground, and the outside temp was in the mid 30's. They were just barely adequate!

A little Cold- MSR Mud Pro. These have a little neoprene insulation, and are good for milder temps.

Wet but Not Very Cold- MSR Windbreaker. Very water repellent, but not much insulation.

I use a pair of older Burton snowboarding mitts. They keep my hands really warm unless it gets down around the 0F mark. It's kind of hard to ride with mitts at first, but I got used to it.

I have the MSR Cold pro cloves and the Moose monarch pass gloves and i like the moose gloves more because there not as big and bulky. I was out in 20 degree weather with high winds and i wasnt cold at all.

The ones I do love are the Fox thermalpaws or something like that!
