Ford just called a recall on a few hundred thousand Ford Escapes and Mazda Tributes for a bad accelerator cable. All companys screw up, dodge is no exception.

In what? Ford has had the best selling pickup for about 25 years. The superduty has higher capacities than the GM HD's, and dodge, ford, and nissan all have better 1/2 ton hp.
Chevy sells more cars than ford, but thats just this year. Both are still outsold wordlwide by a large margin.

The death of the camaro was GM's doing. The mustang has been a joke for some time with paltry engines and sluggish handling, the camaro had it beat in every arena except price which is eventually what killed it. GM kept raising prices on it to the point where you could consider a corvette for the price of a camaro.
If the mustang redesign translates into good sales in the next few years I wouldnt count out an F-body successor. They have been on the drawing board since before the decision to end production was released to the public.

I have a 99 Durango, they said they was recalling 00-03, but the dealer said the 98 & 99 was worse. I hope they recall the 99. That would same me a bunch of $$$.

Mercedes & Chrysler really merged, but it depends on where you are at. Some of the Mercedes plants over seas are payed buy Daimler-Chysler and some are payed by Mercedes. Here in the U.S.A there is only one Mercedes plant and it is a 100% Mercedes payed plant. It only makes the M-Class and soon to build the new "R" class wagon.

toyota is the best as far as quality goes. hate to admit it but its true. by the way, do you guys think daimler-benz just flat out bought chrysler or was it really a merger? i know mercedes is the more dominant partner. i heard daimler owned 57percent of the company and chrysler owned 43 percent of it. i was in 4th grade when the merger happened so i really dont know the whole story.
