I heard the shooter was a 25 year old EX-marine. They say he had "mental issues". Apparently he blamed Pantara for stealing his lyrics, then shot Dimebag 4 times. Kudos to the cop that took the f*cker out with 1 shotgun blast.! Damage Plan was suppose to play here at the Machine Shop on Thursday. I really wanted to go to that show too. RIP Dimebag

It's a damn shame for sure.
I have partied with that guy at numerous shows, he was alway a great guy, smoked out with him everytime and he would give me tickets and backstage passes to the next show.
Thrash has lost one of it's best guitarists and all around great guys !

I feel for dime's bro and family,I listened to pantera on the radio back in the days of knac a so cal long beach station.The radio station is long gone and now dime is gone to but I will continue to listen.I whatched planet caravan and cemetary gates on yahoo today and tonight on m2 at 10:00 headbangers ball is doing a tribute to dime,R.I.P. bro. (knac.com) played nothing but pantera and damage plan yesterday.rock on!
