I am a huge fan of Dimebag (Pantera). Not everyone digs their stuff, but regardless, this is a huge loss in the rock/metal scene. I am speechless. Those who are a Pantera fan know, this loss hits hard. Right on the anniversary of John Lennon's murder, within 30 seconds of opening their set, in the middle of a song entitled "Breathing New Life", a guitar legend was lost. Unbelievable.

As my signature says, R.I.P. Dime along with the others who were wrongfully killed. Also remember those in the crowd who were hurt/killed. A 24 y.o. was killed as he went on to the stage to help those who were shot. Unbelievable.

My question is where are the metal detectors? They do it at sports games but not rock concerts?

It wasnt a stadium..It was a club event and not enought security..Thats the worst part.. These guys are big..You should have a way to protect them...club,stadium,or where ever....RIP Dime

It truely is a sad story. One has to feel for Dimebag and the others who lost they life senslessly.
I listened to Pantera up until they came out with The Great Southern Trendkill. I didn't like that one, and eventually I quit listening to them altogether, except for a few from CFH or Vulger Display every now and then. I went to they concert twice in St.Louis and it was two expierences I'll never forget. A few friends were in one of the vid's they made.
