There are certain things that people shouldn't argue about.
1 being religion because religion is an opinion thing, in your mind you are right in my mind I am right, but together we may not agree on things.
The second is what came first the chicken or the egg, or creation vs evolution.
Point is there is no point in arguing if Jesus died for our sins or not because it is all how you interperate the bible.
Me personnally I think he did die for our sins, but that is my opinion.

i agree with superballs 5337 completely on this topic . the bible thing for sure. the bible is basicly a good story book for people who have run out of things to read. no one can prove that anything in it actualy happend .we were not there and there is no proof . who ever wrote it could have said the complete opposit and today every one would be believing something else . just my oppinion

well,haha, you left out the arc being found....according to my research, the arc that they found was claimed to be the exact measurements that is stated in the Bible, therefore....there is another reason that this is real....
...if anybody else has any knowledge of other stuff being found, i REALLY want to hear it, because this just helps me help others to realize that all of this is real...Jesus will come back, people will be left behind, they'll have to go through what is said to be like "hell on earth"....and maybe then some of them will realize how real it is ( if it happens in their lifetime)
but i pray for those of you that have the wrong views on this....BEING A GOOD PERSON WILL NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN....TRUSTING,BELIEVING,AND ACCEPTING JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOW WILL!

also not only have they found the arc....but according to my research, theyve also found the tomb where he was risen from ( with the big stone that was rolled away and everything) in some other country....but it is protected by the military because it is considered holy....just goes more to say that He is real

o.k? thats your view. jesus was born of a virgin mother, he was able to heal the blind, crippled and sick. the bible does say he was Gods son. doesn't sound like an ordinary man to me?

Jesus was crucified because to put it planly they wanted to prove he was a fake. they failed to prove that and when he rose that really proved it. The bible says that sin can only be paid for by death. It also says that God loved us so much that he gave his only son to pay for our sins. Jesus dies on the cross to pay for our sins so we would not have to. it's all in the bible. the bible also warns about worshiping false gods. as for the abortion and capital punishment? to take the life of a child that has not been born just because it might not be in that persons plans right then is murder. but to end the life of a person that has comitted murder and shows no remorse for his sin is called punishment. there are alot of christains that do think capital punishment is wrong. i cant remember the rest of the question without going back. I'm noit the best at explaning the answers but i'm sure there are some on here that are or try talking to any pastor. a pastor will be more than happy to dicuse this issues with you with out pushing their opinon on you .

i dont agree with u, Jesus was the son of God he did die on the cross for our sins and at any moment he could have just called thousands of angels to come save him but he did not because he loves us and he wants us to be with him in heaven for eternity, and yes the bible was written by man but God told the people who wrote it what to say and so every word in it is true. Also the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus Christ not by being good are doing good deeds but my accepting his free gift. And it does say in the bible that he died for our sins i am not sure where but i know its there. Also read John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever wil believe in him shall have everlasting life. So you see he did choose to be born and live on the earth just so he could die on the cross for you and me so that we could be with him for ever and ever and that he is not just some ordanery man he is the Lord and creator of everything!!

Superballs5337, have you ever read the Bible??? Jesus DID die for our sins. And Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven. He even states that. So do others, read Acts 4:12 and James 3:17. And yes, He was perfect. The Bible says he lived a sinless life. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. If you have a problem with something in the Bible, let me know and I will help you find the Truth.

The Bible was not written just by man. It was divinly inspired by God and is therefore errorless. God wouldn't let anything false go into that book. I tell you what, read the book "Evidence that demands a verdict" by Josh Mcdowel (sp). He went out to prove that Christianity was false and ended up becoming a believer (much like C.S. Lewis).

Jesus did not die because he broke the law of the church. First off, there was no "law of the church" to put a man to death. That is why the Romans did it. He was crucified, and back then a person could be crucified for only 3 things. Robbery, murder, and treason. Jesus did none of that. As for Jesus being a white person in the movie, I guess what difference does that make? No Christian would ever try and convince you that Jesus was a white person either.

God had Jesus die for our sins. God created man, and in a short time man sinned. To atone for man's sins God needs some kind of sacrifice. That is why in the old testament Jews were offering up goats, lambs, even their own children; as atonements for their sins. But these sacrifices were not enough, all were imperfect. God requires a perfect sacrifice, and nothing in this world is perfect but God himself. Therefore only He could be the sacrifice, that is why he came down as Jesus (part of the Trinity) to atone for our sins.

3. Do you eat animals that have hooves(spelling) like pigs, deer, etc???
I eat everything, as stated in Genesis that God created all animals for man, and in Acts, when Jesus tells Peter that all animals are made clean for food.

The crowd chose Jesus to die. Pilot himself wanted Barnabus to be the one to die, not Jesus, but as the custom, the crowd got to pick and they chose Jesus to die.
5. If there are 100 + diff religions and every one thinks their right doesnt look good that just one is right does it????

Jesus wasn't a politician. People don't have to be either Democrats or Republicans. Jesus did however obey the laws of his land, for example with taxes giving unto Creaser what is Creaser's and God what is God's.

wolv03, you brought up a good point, how can the Bible be accurate, it is so old. First of all, all of this comes down to faith. Faith in Jesus Christ. We can't prove a lot of things, for example, prove to me that you love your children (if you have any.., you get my point)... The Bible was recorded by the Jews, and back 2000+ years ago the Jews had people who's ONLY job was to preserve the writings of the Bible. Think about that. Then, in the 1950's (or so) we found the Dead Sea Scrolls. They contained different books of the Bible, and you know what, they were dated to be the oldest manuscripts ever found and they were word for word just like we have them today. Historians will tell you that the Bible was preserved so well, that it is more accurate then the writings we have today of William Shakespeare.

who was the bible written by, MAN. Man made things are faulty. im not saying the bible is or isnt true. and the movie defintly isnt 100% true. but you cant take everything you read or see 100% as fact. i mean yes he was born of a virgin but a middle eastern virgin mother so he wont be white. and yes he did very extrodinary things. like make blind men see(from what the bible says) turn water into wine, blah blah blah. but did david copperfield fly across the audience, and make the statue of liberty dissappear, float people on stage. jesus could have been a magician and the miricals people saw were actually illusions. like i said the bible was written by man. and just like the fish story. i caught a fish and it was only 5in but by the time 8 people have heard it ive caught like 10 fish all 2feet long. know what i mean. the bible has been interpreted millions of times so things have gotten out of hand.
the bible also says thou shall not kill. but yet the church killed jesus whats up with that. explain that one. so how can so many christians be against abortions but for capital punishment. if you are u are hypocritical. you are either for both or againts both. but if u belive the bible u better be against both. all im saying is i do beilive in jesus that he was a good guy and if u follow his examples by being nice and helping people then u will go to heavn.

What part of thou shall not kill dont some of you understand. punishment is one thing. but thou shall not kill means no death to anyone. kids children, dogs, cats, man, women, deer, birds, guys, girls, babys, etc. thou shall not KILL no one. just answer my other questions please
