Try finding a job with a landscaper or somebody mowing lawns. My uncle started a landscaping business a few years ago and I took over a few of his accounts and am planning on totally taking over his business this April. One of my accounts I get $50 a week for just mowing their lawn, which isn't much, but when you consider I am picking up around 10 more, thats pretty decent money considering it is tax free most of the time and I don't have any other expenses besides paying for equipment maintenence and my truck payments. I'll be clearing around $450 a week and I only have to work for about 15 hours or so, so I can still have another part time job if I wanted. Sometimes I also get a bigger specialty project like regrading somebody's yard and can get $2000 or so for that and can get it done in under 5 days of after-school work. The money is there, but it takes hard work to get it.

I guess February is a little early to start, but when I was your age I used to make great money mowing yards around the neighborhood. Get paid cash, no taxes, and keep your own hours.

There are some construction jobs that will pay good $$ for a laborer to begin at the bottom, and learn the trade, and move up from there. It worked for me. I used to do the work......now I INSPECT their work.

I know lots of construction workers who make 60 to 80 grand and one guy who clears 100 thousand a year. That seems like good money to me and you work from May till October. Of course these are road construction guys and the are considered Heavy Equipment Operators and get paid alot more then the common house builder. But those guys still make over 20 an hour and work year round and make over 50. There is nothing wrong with trade jobs, you have to do something for a living besides sit on your A## collecting welfare.
Not everyone is going to be a Doctor or Lawyer or even a Computer programmer, so that is what is nice about trade jobs, they keep America moving. But. Since z250 is 14, I would recomend maybe fast food joints or bagging groceries at you local store. It is a start. I make a good living at what I do, but do not want to say what or how much it pays as I got blasted about it before on here.
My neighbor kid works for the Yamaha shop during schools summer break. His dad is friends with the owner so that helped. he sweeps up the place, sorts freight when it arrives and helps in the prepping of the bikes. He likes it as it allows him to help out in the shop and get a fel for working on his own bike, even though it is a Honda and his dad rides a KTM but they are same when it comes to wrenching on them.AlaskaBoy.

Hey z250, That position is taken by a couple of my buddies so I would pick something else.HAHA.
McDonalds is a good start. What about resturants in your area? I was a buser/dishwasher and I got a percentage from the waitress's and it added up faster then working at a fastfood place making mininum wage. I also worked for the local ski/golf resort, got tips(bribes) from the skiers who wanted to park at the bottom of the hill that was reserved for the lodge guest's(I was the gate guard). I made more in one ski season then a whole year washing dishes.(I felt like a politican accepting bribes just on a much smaller scale)AlaskaBoy.

one of the better jobs i had when iwas younger was 1) working with a land scape company , they usually are looking for extrra help during summer ,and 2) working for a lawn mowing company . your out side enjoying the fresh air and not going home at the end of the day smelling like a french fry .
